What is covered in a General Pest Treatment?

Generally, a repellent is used to treat pests that fall under the "general pests" category. This includes large dark brown cockroaches, webbing spiders, and silverfish. Other pests may die if they come into contact with the chemical, but the treatment is not designed to address them, so you may continue to see other pest activity.

Why are ants, rodents, and German Cockroaches not covered in a General Pest Treatment?

These are nesting pests and require a residual bait to be effective. The bait allows the pest to carry the chemical back to the nest, ensuring the colony is eliminated. A repellant cannot be used because it would kill the pest immediately, preventing the chemical from reaching the nest.

What is involved in a German Cockroach treatment?

All kitchen, bathroom, and laundry cupboards must be emptied for a thorough treatment. Treated areas cannot be used for 24 hours, and cleaning instructions will be provided on the day of service. Our treatments are proven and typically require only one visit. A second treatment may be necessary in severe cases, which will be assessed on-site.

Is there anything you need to do before we can arrive?

Please ensure the following:

All gates are unlocked.
The garage is open.
Outdoor shoes are put away.
Any items you do not want to get wet are covered or stored.
Windows are closed.
Pets are restrained.

Is the treatment safe for kids, babies, pregnant women, and the elderly?

Yes, once the chemical dries, it is safe for children and the elderly. Babies and pregnant women should remain in a separate room during the indoor treatment. Once the indoor treatment is complete, they may return to the treated areas at their leisure.

Is it safe for pets?

Pets must be restrained, taken off the property, or placed in a separate room during treatment. Bird cages and aviaries should be covered with a sheet. All pet bowls and chew toys should be washed after treatment before being returned to your pets.

How long does it take to dry, and what happens if it rains?

Under ideal conditions, the chemical typically dries in 20–30 minutes indoors and about an hour outdoors (due to shady areas). If rain is forecast, we generally postpone the treatment to ensure full effectiveness. We understand scheduling can be challenging, but we cannot control the weather.
